E-zeroBatteryZone wireless smartSensor
We collaborated with Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH on the development of the E-ZeroBattery Zone Wireless SmartSensor system. In this project, we replaced the existing helix antenna with a highly optimized integrated antenna solution, significantly improving overall RF performance. The new design enabled approximately double the communication range while simultaneously reducing system costs.
The next-generation solution extends beyond the original 868 MHz operation and supports more demanding connectivity requirements, including NB-IoT in both B20 and B8 bands. These enhancements demonstrate our ability to develop high-performance antenna systems for challenging IoT environments while maintaining efficiency, compact integration, and future-proof wireless connectivity.
Avia Smart DeadBolt+
We supported Avia Smart Lock Solutions in enhancing the performance of the Avia Smart Deadbolt+ system. Although the original request focused on UWB integration, we went beyond the initial scope and optimized the overall wireless architecture of the product.
We successfully integrated Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology and achieved a communication range of over 35 meters, significantly exceeding the target requirement of 3 meters. In addition, we improved the existing NFC antenna design, increasing the near-field interaction distance from approximately 2 cm to more than 4 cm. The Bluetooth link performance was also optimized, reaching nearly 90 meters of reliable connectivity.
This project illustrates our holistic engineering philosophy: even when a single technology is requested, we evaluate the entire RF ecosystem of the product and look for opportunities to improve robustness, efficiency, and user experience beyond the original specification.
